BILYEU posted by Joyce Hayes on Saturday, January 24, 2004

BILYEU, George Franklin. My Great Grandfather. I am looking for info on George Franklin Bilyeu. I don't have his date of birth, but he was shot & killed in the Virden Mine Riot of October 12, 1998. From what I can figure, he was married to Emily Starkey or Stocker in the 1870's sometime, with children, Wm. Leroy Bilyeu, Nellie Bilyeu/McEvers, Dessie Bilyeu/Brant. Then he married Lucy Stewart sometime in the early 1880's and had children Lelia Bilyeu, Forbes Guy Bilyeu, and Ernest Herschel Bilyeu. I would like to find anyone out there that might know anything about this family. Would like very much to get his date of birth and names of his Father & Mother.
