Seeking information about John Howard MICHAEL and wife Eliza SNELLGROVE - MICHAEL. John H. MICHAEL was born in Ohio in 1845, his wife Eliza SNELLGROVE was born in Tennessee about 1845. I do not know when or where John MICHAEL and Eliza SNELLGROVE married but know that at least one of their children (Ida Belle MICHAEL) was born in Pana, IL on Jan. 12, 1874. The MICHAELs had eight children, John H. MICHAEL (2) was born in 1887 in Iowa so the family had left IL before 1887. I do not have birth locations or birthdates for the other children, their names are: Ernest, Elizabeth, Maude, Bertha, Maggie & Mary Ellen MICHAEL. If you can help me with this family, or know of anyone who could have been related esp. to Eliza SNELLGROVE, please contact me.

I am tracing the BULPITT family members that emigrated from P E I to the U S A there appear to be two to three families which settled in the area of Sangamon and Christian Co. Illinois, near present day "Bulpitt" township.
1) Ferdimand Spiller BULPITT of PEI married Mary E RICHARDSON in 1872 in Chrisitian Co. Illinois Ferdimand had the following children Adele (married a Mr. COVER), Ross, Chester, Lutie (married Mr. BARBEE), Earl and Loren. I am unsure whether not these children were all by the same wife and raised in Illinois only Ross is listed in S S N info for state.
2) James C. BULPITT of PEI and his Wife Annie SNOW of Vermont arrived in Christian County in the late 1850s. James first found work as a carpenter and then bought a farm in presnt day Bulpitt, Christian CO, Illinois and also ran the first general store in the locality (per Hhistorical encyclopedia of Illinois and History of Christian County). There children were Lizzie married Mr. GRAHAM), Delia (Married Mr. MILLER), Ida (married Mr. MITCHELL), Theodore P., Adin, Annie, William L (married Bertha DUEY) and Edward Andrew whom married Mary L. GEORGE.
3) Edward Andrew took over the farm and founded a coal mine.. he is the founder of Bulpitt Illinois and is the only offspring which I know anything about. He and his wife had the following children.. Hazel, George, James and Gwendolyn. James married someone and had a child James Jr.
I note a lot of Bulpitt concentrated in Springfield and Taylorville area, but could not connect them to the above information.
