Need information on Sheldon (Shelton)THOMPSON and wife Sarah Ann CALVERT. They settled at Taylorville, Ill. in the fall of 1862. Sheldon died in 1864 in Christian Co, Ill. They were from Culpeper Co, Va. Their daughter Elvira married Benjamin Franklin DAY (DEIGH) in VA. After his death she moved to Ill. where her parents were living. She married Archie SHARP in Ill. then moved to Texas. Her sister Mary Ellen married a SATTERLY.

I am looking for information on my GG grandfather and grandmother, Isaac Farres COLBY, b. 2 Nov 1818, d. 19 Feb 1890, Margaret Bisco COLBY, b. 19 Nov 1819, d. 20 Apr 1894. Isaac was a Pana Township farmer from abt. 1858 until his death in 1890. I have been unable to find where they are buried. I have checked various County cemetery books with no success. The County Clerk said that death records prior to 1916 are not kept. I believe that they both died in Pana Township. The County Plat Book of 1891 shows Isaac's property in Section 8 of Pana Township. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

According to the 1910 census for Christian Co., Illinois he was about 7 yrs old and living with his adoptive family of Isaac Nelson ODLE and Jenny BATES. His name was Charlie Clarence ODLE, however, in the census he was listed as Charles CRONICKER, and it stated he was a nephew of the ODLE family. CONRATH,Michael Adam b.13 Aug 1883 in Ohio wife Catherine Barbara (KLEINHAUS) b.15 May 1886 in Ohio. Moved to Kincaid, Ill. not sure of date sometime after 1923. Catherine died in a fire in Oct. of 1926. They had 12 children with one dying at birth. Children were: Leonard b.3-30-1910,Geneva b. 2-21-1912, Alma Louise b.7-17-1921, Charles b. 9-22-1919, Arthur Bernard b.9-22-1919, Helen Frances 9-27-1916, Robert Henry b.9-30-1918 d.10-1918, Clarence b.12-1-1903, unknown twin b.12-1-1903 (died at birth), Joseph Michael b. 10-6-1905, Mary Margaret b. 12-14-1907, Dorothy Elizabeth b.12-15-1914. We believe Mary Margaret was married to a James DALY who supposedly died in 4-1929, there was a child born 6-12-1929. Family closet says there was not a marriage, or a death of James Sr. No one knows for sure. Louis Gerodez b. in Jameppe, Belgium, wife Adolphine (Finni) b. in Queni, Belgium, both died in Patton, PA. Children: Maria, Louisa, Mary, Victoria, Celina, Minnie, Maria, Paul, Arthur all moved to Pana. Maria married Desire LAUWERENS who was also born in Belgium. They had 2 children Edith Kathleen and Richard Louis. Louisa married Amiable MATON. Victoria married Joseph DUEZ. I do have a lot on info on Victoria and Joseph.
